When a pregnant is taken into the labour room for delivery
The calmness outside the OT is the silence before the revelry;
When it is time for the baby to be ‘ooing’ on its mother’s lap
The shh… shh… gesture to others is the silence before the sleep.

In the school, when the Principal is on rounds to check the loud voice
The quick charades game by the students is the silence before the noise;
When the invigilator tries to trace the students daring
The speaking of their eyes is the silence before the sharing.

When the teacher asks a difficult question making things worse
Bending the head down or looking all around is the silence before the curse;
When one enters a library with whatever attire and sense
The “Silence please” board is the silence before the silence.

When a gathering has someone’s presence as a deficit
Their plastic smile echoes the silence before the exit;
When someone nonchalantly brushes aside questions with a smile
The facial expression alludes to the silence before the guile.

In Tennis, when the player is ready to serve in the game
The announcement to the spectators is the silence before the player’s fame;
In some sports, when the high-spirited spectators maintain silence
It can be imputed to their controlled silence before the violence.

When a member of the family makes a mistake
The head of the family’s composure is the silence before the take;
When a member of the family stops following the norm
The head of the family’s non-disclosure is the silence before the storm!
