22. The Swim Upstream

Any end to this unendurable swim upstream?
Any end to this unenviable tiresome gloom?
Any chance to ring in again my blooming love?
Any chance to get back to my charming dove?

Does the proximity of a sea quench my thirst?
Does the distance travelled count for the coast?
Hasn’t it been like an insatiable quest to see
The shore in the middle of the endless sea?

How come my innocence proves me guilty,
And, relegates my friendship to futility?
Isn’t my unconsoled heart hurt even by affection,
When my love reduces our relation to defection?

Any end to this unendurable swim upstream?
Any end to this unenviable tiresome gloom?

Childhood, youth and middle age are keen stages of learning. I believe, the unlearning is a way to learn as we move forward from here, just as a satellite would detach itself from a few components to reach its destination. In this process, we might leave a few footsteps! Hence the effort to store a few ideas in English, Telugu and Hindi.
