In Memoriam My Nephew

Dear Vyas
What was that loss
You could share with none of us
Left all of us in an eternal maze?

Your mother awaits you, father longs for you
Unending recalled memories are in the queue
Your Sheldon wags and waits
Nobody is okay — if you watch these traits.

They say, “All critics are readymade”
You proved it your way — the road you rode
Having taken all such pains,
Who did you think should reap all gains?

To convey what sense
Have you left yourself in such a past tense?
To grab what future
Did you leave this silent gesture?

For what destination did you reach this destiny?
Any alien force could have been so tiny
Had you shared, had you shared
Had you shared, had you shared …

Your house is half-baked
Our throats are full-choked
For once, rise like a phoenix
And deny the fact and break this jinx!

Childhood, youth and middle age are keen stages of learning. I believe, the unlearning is a way to learn as we move forward from here, just as a satellite would detach itself from a few components to reach its destination. In this process, we might leave a few footsteps! Hence the effort to store a few ideas in English, Telugu and Hindi.
