We come across a variety of topics for discussion
Points generated give clarity and concussion;
“Should we invest for the present or future?”
The response is two-pronged — relief and torture!
While the veracity encompasses a ‘yes’ and ‘no’,
Its empiricism demands the use for us to know;
In the modern world, nothing comes for nothing
And our assets are pumped into the null-thing?
An article might close by saying ‘from a reliable source’
It’s neither useful nor is of any form of recourse;
As we patiently read the lured repetition and wait
Just to discover that it was a mere clickbait!
This visual writeup might sound so casual,
But the deeper we dig, the deeper it hurts as usual,
If clickbait itself is so artfully tempting and enticing
How do we appraise the audio-visual enthralling?
Technology always brings merits and demerits
The merits with their upswing enliven the spirits,
The demerits can’t be discounted in the long run
Since the unseen side could steal Dr. Faustus’ fun!
When private channels aired and counted prime,
It regulated and delayed the regular dinner time;
When OTTs aired and grabbed the household
Binge-watch invariably became the watchword.
Now that there is internet pack on the move,
Dancing to the tune of scrolling them with love,
We consciously allow the stealthy video clips
To lead our time to gallows and lose all flips.
No misgivings, the cut is deeper on the mind
The realisation fails to identify how unkind …
It is stealing relationship, time and attention,
The present, past and future; no retention!
